Janitorial Jobs

If you are looking for a janitorial job then you have plenty of options to choose from as there are various types of janitorial jobs on offer. In general terms a janitor will be employed to help look after and maintain something such as an office building, a residential block of flats or a school. In most cases these jobs are full-time positions although some part-time positions are available.

Common types of janitorial jobs include:

Working in a school, college or other educational establishment
Working in a public building such as a museum, art gallery or town hall
Working for a company as an in-house janitor

Janitors may have various responsibilities depending on the type of company they work for and the type of building for which they are responsible. In general, they will work to make sure that the infrastructure of a building is on good working order. Responsibilities here can include:

General maintenance
Minor repairs
Supervision of workmen who come in to do larger jobs
General cleaning
Rubbish collection

In some cases - such as in businesses - janitors may also be responsible for liaising with other companies/individuals whenever larger projects need to be undertaken.
